Create Listing

AuctionLinc’s Listing Form is uniquely designed to help you navigate to particular section of your listing easily. Click on each tab to navigate to corresponding section of the Listing Form and provide information for your Listing.

Here is an explanation of various sections of the Listing Form.

Site and Template Selector

You can select a site from the Site Selector to target your listing to a particular site. By default US site is selected.

Select a Listing Template from the Template drop down if you would like to create a Listing from a previously created Listing Template. Learn more about Listing Templates in a separate tutorial here.

Title and Subtitle

You can provide title and subtitle in this section. Title is not available for Ebay Motors Site as it is filled in by eBay itself.

Title and Subtitle can be maximum 55 characters long.

Categories

Select Primary Category you want your listing to list under by click on the link "Pick". Once you have selected the Category, you can select Item Specifics for your listing by clicking on link "Item Specifics". Use Clear link below category fields to clear currently selected Category.
You can also select a Secondary Category but it is optional.

Condition

Some Categories require you to provide Item Condition for the item you are selling. The Condition drop down is populated with available choices after you select your Primary Category.



Tip: Use the help icon next to the Conditions drop down to find out more about what each Condition choice means.

Store Categories

Select your Store Categories if you are a Store Owner. AuctionLinc will automatically figure out if you are a Store Owner and let you select your Store Categories. Store Categories are optional.

Pricing & duration

Use radio button selection to choose the right listing type. Based on the Listing Type chosen, the price and duration section will change to offer relevant data inputs.

Best Offers

You can enable Best Offers for Fixed Price Listing. With this option on, Buyers can send you price offers which you have the choice to accept or reject. You an also set up range at which to automatically accept or reject an offer.

Item Description

Use AuctionLinc’s HTML Editor to create HTML based Descriptions. You don’t need to know any HTML syntax to create Item Description. Use the HTML Editors tool bar to apply HTML formatting to your Description Content.

Images

You can insert up to 18 images in a Listing. Click on Add Images button to select images for your Listing. It will open a popup window where you can select from your uploaded images.

You can also drag and drop images to change their position with in the selected list.

Header Image

You can also select one of the images to be the main header image for your Listing. eBay will use this as the main image to show in your Listing as well as in the eBay Search Results.

Click on Select Main Image to select the main Image. It will open the Image Selector in the popup letting you select one of your uploaded images.

Image Layout

You can select from a variety of Image Layouts to use to lay out your Images in the Description. Selecting an Image Layout is only relevant if you are using Images in your Listing.

Click on one of the radio buttons corresponding to the Image Layout you want to use.

HTML Template

AuctionLinc provides you a library of HTML Templates you can choose from to design your Item Description. 

Click on “Select HTML Template” box to select an HTML Template to use for your Item Description. It will open a popup window listing all the Stock Templates from AuctionLinc as well as any Custom HTML Templates that you may have created.

Cross Marketing Gallery and Feedback Gallery

AuctionLinc lets you cross sell your other Items for Sale via a scrolling gallery showcase. Use this section to define the location of the Items showcase gallery.
You can also embed a showcase of your customer feedbacks which helps buyers looking at your gallery to quickly make positive decisions about making a purchase.

Use check box next to each Gallery if you want to embed it in your Listing. Once checked, you can select the location and color to use for that Gallery. AuctionLinc also provides a suggested color option based on the HTML Template you have selected, if any. Suggested Color will give your Listing a consistent look and feel with Galleries colors matching the HTML Template color scheme.

Shipping Costs

You can choose Shipping Costs to be Flat or Calculated. If calculated, you must provide Item Dimensions and Weight so that eBay can calculate the Shipping Cost for you.
You can add up to 3 Domestic Shipping Options and up to 3 International Shipping Options. At least 1 Domestic Shipping Option must be provided.

    Click on Add another Intl. Shipping Service to add International Shipping.

    You can remove International Shipping altogether by clicking on Remove International Services.

    Click on Select Locations for this Shipping Service to specify international locations for which this Shipping Service will be available.

Item Location

Provide Location of your Item by entering City, State and Zip Code.

Payment Options

Choose methods of Payment that you are willing to accept for Buyer Payment for the Item. You can select multiple Payment Methods.

Sales Tax

Select whether you want to charge Sales Tax from the buyer when the purchase happens. You can chose to not charge Sales Tax, or charge only Sales Tax if buyer is from a specific State only or charge tax based on your Sales Tax Table configured under your eBay Account.

Buyer Requirements

You can set up minimum Buyer Requirements before buyers can bid on or purchase the Item. Check the corresponding for the requirement you want to enforce on the Buyers

Return Policy

Specify Return Policy for the Item as to whether you want to offer Buyers the option to return Items or not. If you don want to offer Returns, specify terms and conditions for the Returns.

Launch and Relisting Options

Use a launch option of Launch Immediately or Launch at a Scheduled time. Provide a schedule time in future for listing to be launched at a scheduled time.

Specify a Relisting Rule if you would like AuctionLinc to automatically Relist an item when it ends. See Tutorial about how to Create Relisting Rules, here.

Listing Folder

Select a folder from the drop down for your listing. Each listing is saved under a folder. By default the “Default Folder” is selected. You can create new folders by clicking on Add New button.

Actions

You can do following actions once you have entered all the data for your Listing.

  • Launch – Upload Listing onto eBay. If there are any input errors, the launch will fail and errors will be displayed back to the user.
  • Save Draft – Save the Listing in Pending Listings.
  • Review Fees – Calculate Listing Fee for this Listing.
  • Preview – Get a preview of how the Item Description will look like when uploaded to eBay.
  • Verify – Validate data inputs for this Listing.
  • Schedule – Schedule this Listing to be uploaded at scheduled time. This button will only be available when Launch Option is selected to be “Launch At Scheduled Time”.

You can do following actions once you have entered all the data for your Scheduled Listing.

  • Schedule –Schedule this Listing to be uploaded at scheduled time. This button will only be available when Launch Option is selected to be “Launch At Scheduled Time”.
  • Save Draft – Save the Listing in Pending Listings.

  • Preview – Get a preview of how the Item Description will look like when uploaded to eBay.
  • Verify – Validate data inputs for this Listing.
